Initiated by Nago Seck and Sylvie Clerfeuille, both journalists and film directors, Saraaba is a place of convergences, exchanges and dialogues around the cultures of Africa, the Indian Ocean and the diaspora.
Saraaba aims to develop:
Africa of the creators: Saraaba will welcome creators and researchers (musicians, film directors, painters, photographers, writers, storytellers and researchers). The musical, artistic and literary programming will be made in collaboration with specialists.
Saraaba can also accomodate or organize cocktails of press (left discs, books, presentations of festivals, etc).
Africa of La Goutte d'Or district by the organization of workshops and tales for all public: the children and the adults of the district will be associated (schools, cultural associations, festivals, independent producers, local artists and writers). They will be also invited to the recording of radio and TV programmes in Saraaba.
Africa of the taste: by proposing various African, Caribbean courses and fair trade products (coffee, tea, beers, etc…) and by communicating on the producers.
