Luc Marc Ivanga, father of the film-maker, belonged to the 15th regiment of Senegalese infantry. He enlisted voluntarily in Libreville for the duration of the war. He (and two of his companions at arms) testify to this painful past and tell how they went from freedom to the reality of war; then to disillusion when faced with unkept promises.
