In the region of Saloum in southern Senegal are to be found a series of exceptional archaeological sites dating from the 4th Century BC - the Shell Mounds. The film tells the ancient story of the people who lived there - the eaters of seashells - and highlights the interest of this original piece of Senegalese cultural heritage.
