The Gurunsi live in the south of Burkina-Faso. They live in very characteristic rectangular houses. Whenever a couple gets married, the inhabitants of the village build their new house together, under the authority of the architect. Men build the foundations of the house, and the women take care of the finishing touches, using a specific technique (pupurin) to decorate the homes.
