Marcel, a worker in a French shoe factory, lives a simple life between family, fishing and the local betting bar. When the factory unexpectedly relocates to Tunisia. Marcel finds himself unemployed and in search of a new future. Meanwhile, in Tunis, Foued starts working at the shoe factory to help out his ailing mother and woo the girl he fancies. The two men's paths cross when it is least expected.

يعمل مارسيل في مصنع أحذية فرنسي ويعيش حياة عادية ويمضي يومه بين العائلة والصيد وحانة المراهنات. وعندما ينتقل المصتع لتونس، يجد مارسيل نفسه بلا عمل ويبحث عن فرصة عمل جديدة. وفي هذه الأثناء، تعرّفنا الأحدث بفؤاد والذي يعمل في المصنع في مقره الجديد في تونس ليساعد والدته المريضة وينال إعجاب الفتاة التي يسعى للارتباط بها. وبرغم تباعد المسافات بينهما، إلا أن قصتا فؤاد ومارسيل تتداخلان معًا بصورة غير متوقعة ستكشف عنها الأحداث
