Jeunes d'Alger en été is about the dreams and contradictions of Algerian teenagers, isolated from the capital for holidays near the sea. Corroborating their remarks, the Algerian filmmaker, who transformed himself into an independent working on video for several years, portrays the vulnerability of the youth in his country. He suggests that their uncertainties make them an easy target for the preaching of fundamentalists, without turning it into a show.
