GOYAVE takes place in Martinique back in 2009. Grégory Beauville is a 40 year-old "béké" (descendants of slaveholders) facing a mid-life crisis while discovering a secret relationship between his father and a young Metis woman. In the meantime a general strike paralyses the island which leads to unexpected situations

Gregory is a 40-year-old béké, a European white descendant of colonists, lives with his dad Bernard, who is sick. As a béké among black people, Grégory tries to find his place in society in the island of Martinique (French Caribbean), when suddenly a general strike starts in February 2009.
