Following the International Women's Day organized in March 2013, The Alliance Française d'Arusha has organised a travelling exhibition entitled "Women in Resistance" by the talented French photo-journalist, Pierre-Yves Ginet.

Pierre-Yves Ginet's work is dedicated to the resistance of women in the modern world. Between 2001 and 2006, he travelled to seventeen countries to photograph women who, in their own way, are helping re-shape modern history. Whatever method of resistance their engagement with their world may take, these women have been documented through Ginet's photos as working towards a single goal: a better future for generations to come.
