Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024, the Black Harvest Film Festival is Chicago's annual showcase for films that celebrate, explore and share the experience of Blacks, African Americans and the African diaspora. Born out of an urgent need to celebrate the black experience, the Black Harvest Film Festival brings together filmmakers and audiences to showcase the power of black cinema. This annual festival highlights emerging and established talent and historical narratives, enriching the landscape of black culture. The festival, held at the Gene Siskel Film Center, hosts shorts and feature films, proudly featuring influential authors and emerging filmmakers of color side by side.
The 30th annual Black Harvest Film Festival will be held at the Gene Siskel Film Center from November 8 to 21, 2024. The Black Harvest Film Festival invites black, African American and African diaspora directors, producers and screenwriters to submit their work for review.
