Simone SIGNORET (Simone Signoret) is an actress.
She is known for "Les diaboliques" (1955), "Room at the Top" / "Les chemins de la haute ville" (1959) for which she won the 1960 Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role, "La nef des fous" (1965), "Casque d'Or"(1952) and MADAME ROSA (1977) for which she received several awards including the 1978 César for Best Actress.

Died: September 30, 1985 in Autheuil-Authouillet, Eure, France (pancreatic cancer), at 64 years old.
Birth Name: Henriette Charlotte Simone KAMINKER

She was born to André Kaminker (1888-1961), a Polish linguist, and his French wife Georgette Signoret, she had two younger brothers, Alain and Jean-Pierre.
