Juan CAUNEDO DOMÍNGUEZ is a Film Director, Screenwriter and Producer.

Born in Oviedo (Asturias, Spain), 1982. Since 2003 he has combined his work as a director and editor for TV and advertising in Spain, Cuba and Germany, with the production of his own work: Six documentaries and three short films with numerous selections and awards (Cartagena, Filmets, FESCIGU, Visual Container, Masuku...). His feature film "Before the Ferry arrives" (Cuba/Spain, 2018) competed at the Warsaw, Gijón, Málaga, BAFICI, Chicago Latino...

In 2021, he is developing two feature film projects: "Sigmunds Container" (Cuba/Germany) selected EAVE puentes20/21, "Ondegground" (Mexico/Cuba) screenplay award at the "Nuevas Miradas" laboratory at the Havana film festival (Dec.20). He has also received the ICAIC 2020 fund for the promotion of Cuban cinema, to write his next feature film: "El rey de los campos de Cuba" ("The King of the Fields of Cuba").

Desde el 2003 combina su trabajo como realizador y editor para TV y publicidad en España, Cuba y Alemania, con la realización de su propia obra: Seis documentales y tres cortometrajes con numerosas selecciones y premios (Cartagena, Filmets, FESCIGU, Visual Container, Masuku...). Su largometraje "Antes que llegue el Ferry" (Cuba/España, 2018) compitió en el Festival de Varsovia, Gijón, Málaga, BAFICI, Chicago Latino...

En el 2021 desarrolla dos proyectos de largometraje: "Sigmunds Container" (Cuba/Alemania) seleccionado EAVE puentes20/21 Ondegground (México/Cuba) premio de guión en el laboratorio "Nuevas Miradas" del festival de cine de la Habana (dic.20). Además ha recibido el fondo de fomento del cine cubano del ICAIC 2020, para escribir su próximo guión de largo: "El rey de los campos de Cuba".
