Alioune Babee Ndiaye is one of the rare African cinema and television producers specialising in cartoons.
Author of theatre dramas and movie screenplays, Alioune Babee Ndiaye in 1998 created the design company and the shoes trademark LELAND in Paris, a firm where he was the chairman for four years. In December 2001, he left LELAND to co-found the cinema and audiovisual production company WAAW STUDIO in Dakar in January 2002. His main goal is to take advantage of his experience to promote African cartoons within the international animation industry.
As a clear-sighted Afro-optimistic, he truly believes in the potential of animation as a tool to help develop the African continent.
As the Chairman and Producer at WAAW STUDIO, he mainly works on the implementation of the company's productions. Convinced that the History of African cartoon is only in its infancy, Alioune Babee Ndiaye has left Paris to settle in Dakar with all his family.
