The Song of Sin tells the story of Sufunis and Youba, a couple from the Imediazen tribal group of Riffian people in northeastern Morocco. Poets and musicians, heirs of an ancestral art, they are banished from a society that is searching for itself. On these high plateaus swept by the sea winds, between resignation and combat, much more than a love story is played out: it is the story of a people.
