Jeanne de Arc Butera, better known by her stage name Knowless, is still in the race for Primus Guma Guma Super Star's Rwf24million cash prize that has eluded her since 2011.

This comes after reports that she threatened to quit.

Last Saturday, the "Baramushaka" star was accused by judge Aimable Twahirwa of performing a semi-live show by using playbacks. According to Knowless, she had a cold that affected her voice that day. She even apologised to the audience before she performed.

After the drama, her manager, Clement Ishimwe, threatened that the songstress would pull out of the competition unless East African Promoters (EAP) issued a public apology to the singer.

He further questioned Twahirwa's judgment on Knowless concerning the remaining performances.

But in a twist of events, EAP, met with Kina Music – Knowless' music label – and issued a statement confirming that she will continue with the concert.

"Other musicians who suffered the same fate in this concert will have their songs reviewed so that the competition proceeds in harmony," reads part of the statement that is signed by EAP's president, Joseph Mushyoma.
