Seven-time Cacique Award-winner Penelope Spencer, has earned the respect of audiences for her work as a powerful actress, prolific writer and dynamic dancer. Penelope's career started with her exposure to dance and drama at age nine under the tuition of Torrance Mohammed at the Arawaks Dance Company. Fittingly, Penelope is also a committed arts educator. For more than a decade she has taught drama, storytelling and creative writing at a number of institutions including Newtown Girls' RC School, the International School of Port of Spain and St Andrews Private School. She is one of the directors of the Necessary Arts School as well as its sister entertainment company, Necessary Arts ETC Penelope wrote and stars in Raw which goes to San Fernando from May 12-15. She co-hosts The Box, a TV talk show for women, along with Allyson Hennessy and Sharda Ramlakhan.
