Morris MUGISHA is a film director, screenwriter and producer.

He is known for THE MATRON (2023), TEMBELE (2022), FEAR KNOWS MY NAME (2019).

In 2023, his feature "Tembele" (2022) was the first film to present Uganda at the Oscars (USA).

Morris Mugisha is a fast rising film actor, director and photographer born on 23rd November 1978 from Kigezi, Uganda. The graduate from Makerere University with a degree honoring Arts in Arts (Literature communication and film), a diploma in performing Arts (Music Dance and Drama) as well as a Diploma in Radio and TV production, in 2007 represented the country in the celebrated reality TV series "Big Brother Africa" televised by MNET on DSTV. From then he utilized and catapulted his growth higher by growing his company MOIDEAS where he is an art director, copywriter and producer.
He has produced and directed the film "FEAR KNOWS MY NAME" and over 50 Television Commercials.
He has also worked with recognized organizations like the world bank which he produced for a documentary under the URSB, the ministry of water and Environment, Enabel Belgian Development Agency and also worked as a peer educator at Reach A hand organization.

In 2007, he represented Uganda in the famous reality TV series "Big Brother Africa" Season 3. From then on, he catapulted himself higher by launching his creative advertising agency Mo Ideas (formerly Kreative Mogul) where he is artistic director, editor and producer. His documentaries include "Incredible Children" which highlights the plight of street children in Uganda. He also worked with the government on a documentary funded by the World Bank within the framework of the Uganda Bureau of Registration Services, the Ministry of Water and Environment, of the Belgian development agency Enabel and also worked as a peer educator/influencer at the organization Reach A hand.
