The film reveals the path and perilous adventure experienced by very young people from the Antilles, during World War II. Leaving their country as dissidents on makeshift boats after General de Gaulle's 18 June 1940 appeal, with the idea of saving their motherland, they saw the United States, Morocco and Italy before being able to reach France. Those who were witness to the experience tell of their odyssey.
