African Contemporary Music, Dance and Theatre
Lumumba Theatre Group® was established early 1997mba.
Ten talented students, two girls and musician boys of Lumumba Primary School formed the Lumumba Theatre Group®. Its major activities include learning artistic and theatrical work and to train others how to perform and dance to Afro-Music.
The Group was legally registered by the Tanzanian Art Council as an independent theatre group in 2002 (with registration no. BST1197).
Currently the group is based at the Mnazi Mmoja area in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The main office is at Lumumba Primary School, Mnazi Mmoja.
