ABOUT THE COMPANY
Since its inception in 2002, The Film Sales Company has sold over 100 films for domestic and international distribution and has raised financing for numerous fiction and documentary projects. The Company specializes in both highly commercial movies and critically acclaimed, award-winning films. We develop unique strategies for our clients which draw upon our internationally recognized expertise in sales, financing and distribution, our extensive relationships with all of the major and specialized distributors, and our experiences participating in countless domestic and international film festivals and markets. Unrelenting in pursuit of a deal, we also continue to advocate on behalf of our filmmakers after their films have been acquired and released. Andrew Herwitz is President of The Film Sales Company. Prior to establishing the Company, Mr. Herwitz worked at Miramax for six years where he ran the Acquisitions department. He previously practiced entertainment law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton and Garrison LLP in New York City.
Mr. Herwitz is a graduate of Harvard College, Columbia Business School and Harvard Law School.
Stephen Oxman is Director of The Film Sales Company. He was previously in-house counsel for Tribeca Enterprises and a corporate associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Prior to attending law school, Stephen was a cinematographer on feature films.
Stephen is a graduate of Princeton University and Boston College Law School.
Sam Sibble is Manager of Co-productions and Sales at The Film Sales Company. Before joining the company, Sam worked at The Gersh Agency. He graduated with honors from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where he majored in film and television with a concentration in entertainment business. Sam has produced over a dozen short films and television pilots.
James Marion is Creative Executive at The Film Sales Company, where he has worked since 2004. Before joining the company, James coordinated on-set publicity for the feature film The World's Fastest Indian, managed theatrical releases for Beech Hill Films in New York and was an assistant editor for both theatrical and television documentaries.
James is a graduate of Connecticut College where he received an award for distinction in the fields of Film Studies and Screenwriting.
